WORKSHOP
ORO VITAL

The ORO Vital Workshop is brought to you with the support of artist Pedro Ruiz and USAID's Natural Wealth Program and the participation of boys, girls, women, and men from the Reserve's ten indigenous ethnicities and 14 communities. The ORO Vital is a space to showcase and share, through art, the natural and cultural wealth of our territory.

BODY MAPPING
Through this methodology, members of each indigenous community explore ways to represent and communicate their identity, relating through words and images what they perceive as central elements of the human body, territory, and cultures. Within the Reserve's diversity, along with each indigenous community's view of the territory (including particular links with flora, fauna, and landscape), we also found a shared fabric of images and symbols and shared challenges to guarantee our survival. We found the difficulties of transmitting our cultural identity and the conservation of the ecosystems we inhabit, of that immense wealth expressed in our languages, our feeding practices, our material culture, our ancestral rituals, and our spirituality.
